Amit Varma is a novelist and blogger (www.indiauncut.com) based in Mumbai. He has worked in advertising, television and journalism, and has written for publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Observer and Wisden, as well as many Indian publications. He won the Bastiat Prize for Journalism in 2007. He writes the popular blog, India Uncut. His first novel, My Friend Sancho, was published in May 2009 by Hachette India.
Gurcharan Das is the author of India Unbound, an international bestseller which has been filmed by the BBC. He writes regularly for the Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar and occasionally for the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Time. Gurcharan Das graduated with honors from Harvard University in Philosophy and Politics. He later attended Harvard Business School (AMP). He was CEO of Procter & Gamble India, retiring as VP & MD, P&G Worldwide. Prior to P&G, he was Chairman and MD of Richardson Hindustan Limited. He took early retirement in 1995 to become a full time writer. He has served on the juries of the McKinsey award for the best Harvard Review Article (2005) and $500,000 Milton Friedman prize (2004).
